“This Good Practice Guide has been prepared by the British Concrete Pumping Interest Group, a part of the Construction Plant-hire Association. It should be used in conjunction with the relevant legislation and guidance to ensure the safe use of concrete pumps. This document will provide the guidance necessary to ensure that the operations involving concrete pumps are carried out safely and efficiently. It has become clear to members of the Interest Group that such a Good Practice Guide is necessary to define safe systems of work to ensure the solid foundations required for safe and successful operations. It should be noted that this document provides the minimum requirements for the operation of all types of concrete pumps, in addition to any other guidance and legislation that might be appropriate. The Good Practice Guide gives recommendations for the safe use of truck-mounted concrete pumps; some sections will apply to the use of static concrete pumps, trailer mounted concrete pumps and tower-mounted booms”
All concrete pumps and booms are hired out under CPA conditions or conditions no less onerous. Copy of your hired in plant insurance is required to ensure adequate cover is in place for the plant or boom that we hire to you.
