Erne Concrete Pumping welcomes the first 18m Spider Boom into Ireland. This machine has a light-weight subject to a load of 5 tonnes in comparison to a placing boom loading of 30 tonnes. It is therefore easily moved around the pour with a tower crane, perfect for reaching into tight corners where the mobile boom. In previous projects, the 3-section hydraulic spider boom has been able to eliminate the need of extra static lines and in turn, reducing labour costs and increasing efficiency on a concrete pour. Its first job will be to pour the slip formed stair and lift core at the City Quays 3 Project in Belfast. At 19 stories this will be the tallest building in the north of Ireland.
